Lip Care Routine

Lips are often overlooked when it comes to skin health. Lip care is also crucial while taking care of your face. You can't imagine a healthy and glowy face with chapped lips. Lips are essential to face aesthetics and tend to add more charm.

Not only heat and pollution but climate changes can also affect our lips. They tend to become chapped and cracked in Winter when it's dry and cold; the same thing can also happen in extreme heat in summer. Maintaining your lips can only take a few minutes of your valuable time. You need to know what to do and what not to do when it comes to maintaining your lips in excellent shape and health, and we are going to share this knowledge of ours below in this blog post.

Taking Care of Your Lips

As we have already shared, lip care is crucial, as is developing a lip care routine. Yes, it is just as important as following a face care routine. The skin on lips is delicate, and our body doesn’t secrete any liquids to keep it moisturized as it does to keep our face and hair healthy.

Most people tend to lick their lips once in a while when their lips get dry, thinking that it will help moisturize the lips. And just as so, by doing that, most people have already noticed that it won't help. Licking one's lips can result in dryness and inflammation around the corners of the lips as the yield gets built up on the lips. So, avoid this.

Top Lip Care Tips to Maintain Healthy Lips

Moisturize Your lips

  • Moisturizing your lips is crucial. Be sure to apply a lip balm after you have freshened yourself up after you wake up. Lips can dry out when people sleep with their mouths open overnight.
  • During the day, when the lips feel dry, it is the ideal time to moisturize them. Carry a lip balm with you wherever you go. It might seem over-to-do, but maintaining lip or skin health takes effort.
  • If you have to spend your day traveling in the sun (even for as little as 15 minutes), make sure you use an SPF 30+ Lip balm, as it can protect your lips from harmful UV rays.

Exfoliate Your Lips

  • Exfoliating means washing off dead skin cells. It is crucial to exfoliate your skin, whether it's your lips or other parts.
  • To exfoliate your skin, apply an exfoliating scrub to your fingertips and run it to your lips in circular motions. Leave it on for 10 minutes and then wash it off. Now, apply a lip balm to lock in moisture.
  • Exfoliate your lips 1 to 2 times per week. We suggest exfoliating the lips at night, as this process has a better chance of moisturizing your skin afterward, and you will probably be sleeping.

Stay hydrated and Remove Lipstick at Night.

  • Drink lots of water. Skin health is hugely dependent on an individual's water intake. The more hydrated the body is, the more moisture there is, and the better the skin health.
  • Use a lip mask on alternate days, just before sleeping, instead of using a lip balm. These help heal and aid in deep hydration, making your lips plumpy.
  • Remove your lipstick before going to bed. Don’t risk the chemicals in lipstick affecting your lips’ healing process while sleeping.

ARM Pearl Lip Scrub and Lip Balm

  • Our ARM Pearl Orange Oil Lip Scrub washes off dead skin cells quickly. Apply it on your lips, leave it for 10 to 12 minutes, and wash it off to see a better version of your lips that is hydrated and healed.
